Capaccio je symbolem volného létání, přinejmenším v dolní části Kampánie a Lucanie, a jako takové existuje již více než 20 let. Místo, které nabízí nejrozmanitější možnosti: od letů čistě na dynamiku přes jarní dny s dobrou termickou aktivitou, od letů pro začátečníky a výchozího bodu pro významné přelety až po možnost letů ve dvoumístných letadlech s dechberoucími výhledy.

Přístup a přistání

Getting to lauch is easy: just follow the signs for the sanctuary of the Madonna del Granato in the direction of Capaccio village (and not Capaccio stopover). Once you arrive on the square of the church (where you can park) overlooking the balcony you can see the take off and the wind sock under the wall. The take-off of Capaccio is always attended, on weekends as well as during the week, well maintained and above all easily accessible by car, with a take-off landing distance of 4 km walkable in a few minutes. Easy to find and well accessable by car. The official landing is near the river source of Capodifiume, a water park with free entrance where you can also spend pleasant moments of leisure for children, for families or in hot periods to bathe in cold spring water among the ruins of what were once Roman baths. The problem of landing at Capaccio and still of relative importance since the takeoff dominates the whole boundless plain of the Sele which has fields and free spaces as far as the eye can see. The landing by the wind sock at the restaurant is very small. Better go for one of the big fields close by.
