Requires a drive up, 2WD all the way. Open grassy slope in west-facing bowl. Soaring potential along south-facing ridge, west-facing Sugar Hill to southeast. Contact local pilots before flying. LZ visible from launch. Strong west surface winds possible, may cause turbulence due to thermal shearing, large near-surface wind gradient. Marine air can condense rapidly in front of launch creating white-out conditions. Strong thermals possible during summer, prevailing northerly summer winds may be thermal blocked up launch slope but create rotor turbulence aloft.
