Grass launch, facing SW that falls away with mildly steep slope. 300 Ft vertical between takeoff and landing zone. Trails run close to private property. Please contact local flyers to make sure you know the way in without trespassing. SW, W, NW winds, LZ can be thermic. Avoid winds greater then 15 MPH, Blow back potential no LZ on lee side.

As off 2/1/2021 Private access from Bear Canyon Rd is closed. Now you must park at Mt Elliss trailhead and hike aprox. 2 miles, staying on State land. You must have a MT state lands recreation permit ($3.00) Purchase anywhere a hunting license is sold.

Do not hike, launch or land on private lands, they are watching and will complain.
