Nebezpečí
Winds > 20kmh from W - N: very turbulent; you'll be flying the lee side!. If on a good day nobody is flying from there - there must be a good reason. Instead go to the Plain Joux site just 20km to the west (near Passy), most likely everybody will be there. Weather info (or on FFVL frequency):.
Přístup a přistání
Usual LZ in Chamonix: Bois du Bouchet - not visible from TO. ATTN: this LZ is VERY close to the (year round) no-fly zone LF R-30A! To be on the safe side, make your approaches from the north side of the main road!. Alternative-LZ: Savoy (relatively near gondola), but prohibited in winter. Do not fly to the west closer than 300m to the ground. >> July-August: be aware of no-fly-zone on south side of Chamonix (Mont Blanc -Aiguille du Midi)! >> LF R-30A active year round!!
